As Malerman used the sense of vision as the basis of his previous book, Bird Box (soon to be a film on Netflix!), this novel relies on the sense of sound. In this book, our protagonist is on the hunt for a mysterious sound in an African desert - a sound that has rendered a nuclear weapon inert, not to mention what it can do to people... equally eerie and compelling, you won't easily predict how this book ends.

A rare combination of sci-fi, horror, and rock band literary genres. The 2nd half of the novel is completely unpredictable.
