It was hard to get into the book initially. Not a whole lot going on. I stuck with it and not a bad read - more interesting as it went on. Not spellbinding but okay.

I am so upset that you keep putting Steel's books in the Cloud Library. I can't access it no matter how hard I try. It shows checked out to me, but when I try to read it, I have no luck. I do fine with the regular ebooks. Have a little pity on those of us who are elderly and please stop doing this!

This was a good book! It showed the relationship of a mother with 4 grown children. The characters were well developed and interesting. Had trouble putting it down. A good read!

In 'Against all odds," Danielle Steel has given a very detailed account of five relationships. Kate Madison has been widowed at a very young age and left to bring up 4 children. She does a great job till they grow up and enter into relationships. Will their suspect relationships - both gay and straight - succeed against all odds or are Kate's fears well-founded. The book provides a good account of these relationships.

I would rate this one of her better novels.
Interesting characters, and their stories kept me turning the pages.
Read it in one day.
Her use of conjunctions to start sentences is grating, but otherwise Steel is a pleasant, easy read.

A couple of the characters created good story lines. A lot of predictable events which are becoming very common in her writings. Good read, would recommend.

Slow start but a nice story to pass away a rainy afternoon.
