The strangest movie I've ever seen. No point to it. Total waste of time.

Beatriz meets her antithesis at an awkward dinner party and struggles with the paradox of abandoning her beliefs in order to defend them. Unfortunately, the characters are too stereotyped to be relatable, very little happens and there's not enough depth for its bleak message to be thought-provoking. I thought somehow it would follow the path of Down And Out In Beverly Hills but it felt more like Babette's Feast. Misclasssified as a comedy because of a Screen Daily reviewer who clearly didn't watch it ("A sharply funny comedy") and people on the cover who look far happier than they are in the film.

Not a comedy, which I was expecting. An intense drama which makes you think. I don't think it was a rich vs poor message. For me it was more about different view points and how you chose to live your life. Some people wear blindfolds others do not.😕

awful movie, my wife quit watching after 20 min. I wasted my time by watching the whole thing, waiting for something to happen. Recommend to pass on this one

This movie seemed to be trying to convey something of great importance but never quite got there. Or, maybe that was the point - how insular we are in our own sphere, ignorant of and/or unmoved by the realities of others.

There is absolutely nothing comedical about this film. The story is empty and void, quite the shame as the actors are big names.

While it's not funny, it is cringe-y, which should come to no surprise if you've seen the other films that writer Mike White and director Miguel Aretata have done together: "Chuck & Buck" and "The Good Girl." While some hailed this at the first great film of the Trump era, it's neither great nor particular tuned into the zeitgeist. It feels more like a half-assed 90s indie film, albeit with a more impressive cast. Selma Hayek is good in the lead, but her character is more often used to hammer home a point or make rich people uncomfortable than to exist as an actual person. This should probably not be put in the comedy section, unless you think entitled white people pushed to feel guilty is funny.

A tragicomedy of class/culture/table manner clash. Like its heroine, movie is like a dinner guest who overstayed her welcome; first 30 min. are meandering; next 30, the 'healer' started to behave not-so-well after 3 glasses of wine; last 30 min? We are treated to 2.5 alternate endings: did she or didn't she? Good watchable cast though....

I gave up on this after about twenty minutes. The movie seemed pointless and a waste of some good actors.

Made no sense. But I should have figured it out from the opening scene of Salma Hayek in a bad wig. Don't waste your time.
