I hope a positive rating from a zombiemovie-aphobe does not count against this film. It's not a spoiler to say "teachers rule", is it? Sennia Nanua is mesmerizing and memorable. Excuse me, now I must go to watch cats chatter at unsuspecting animals in the backyard...

The Girl With All The Gifts is transformed off the page of a book to the big screen with this riveting and suspenseful movie about a post-apocalyptic world with a twist.

I really enjoyed this movie ( I kept thinking about it for days later) and so has everybody that I know that has seen it. I liked the different take at the end. This is one movie I'll watch again.

This was an interesting take on a "zombie" flick, or in this case, "hungries". It pulled me in enough to watch it from start to finish, and it even impressed me in some places. The parts, however, that I resented were the two negative animal scenes, and the ending. Other than that, its a pretty decent flick, especially if you like zombies. Glenn Close was great, too!

I LOVE zombie movies and this was no exception. There was a great twist to make a child the hero of the story. Definitely a must watch!

I never watch zombie movies, but I liked this one.

Just when you thought every possible zombie angle had already been exploited comes yet another fresh spin on an old mainstay. This time around it’s an alien fungus that has invaded England turning the population into hordes of teeth-snapping flesh-eating “Hungries” and mankind’s only hope rests with a group of hybrid children. Infected with the spores yet still able to function (almost) normally, the children may hold the key to a vaccine. And then all hell breaks loose once more and a ragtag team of survivors (including a miscast Glenn Close as a ludicrous mad scientist) find themselves on the move with a very personable young Hungry named Melanie who, despite a messy habit of devouring cats and birds, just wants to help. The usual parade of guts and exploding heads is toned down somewhat in favour of a genuinely novel story with humour, compassion and a WTF? ending that left me smiling.

Movie well worth the watch. No, not just another zombie movie. The little girl in the film was fantastic. After seeing hundreds of movie zombies created by animal viruses, plant viruses, toxic waste, and rage viruses this movie puts out another plausible cause. Haven't heard too much about this movie so it is a gem you should see. This will wind up on some zombie critic's top twenty list eventually.

This a very good movie and a solid addition to the pantheon of zombie cinema. It's a good adaption of the novel (which I also enjoyed), and stays reasonably true to the author's original story. The actors give solid performances and the production values are high. The juxtaposition of the main characters' lot in 'life' at the beginning and end of the film is interesting as well.
