Add a CommentI didn't like this book. Super boring in some parts. It probably doesn't help that I started with this book instead of the first in the series.

Dragonwatch - Sequel to Fablehaven - Book 1 was by sixteenth Brandon Mull book. Recommended reading for young readers by Doctor-at-Bass-Fishing. T. Adams.
This book was good, although I would have liked to see a little bit more of the main characters. Tanu, Coulter and Vanessa are on missions (Agad doesn't tell us where) and Raxtus is siding with Celebrant! Bracken barely shows up as well, except at the start.
On the bright side, I definitely enjoyed seeing Knox and Tess. I wonder... Will Tess be involved in the next book?... Calvin the Tiny Hero is also a great addition to the cast. And even better... Seth finally gets to do something important (saving Wyrmroost!). I sometimes feel like Seth is just a throwaway meant to showcase Kendra better.
So all in all, not as good as most of the Fablehaven books. The first Fablehaven had few characters so I assume that the second book could get a lot better. Viewed in that light, Dragonwatch is actually quite good. As the start to another obviously great series from Brandon Mull, I give it 10 out of 10.
It is not as good as the fable haven series but it is still filled with adventure and fun
Definitely not as good as the original Fablehaven, but still enjoyable and fun. Can't wait for the next one!
What I am feeling right now is the very definition of Hype
Sequel to Brandon Mull’s legendary Fablehaven series, Dragonwatch takes the cake as Seth and Kendra join hands to battle a new threat. Celebrant the dragon king, now co-caretaker of his sanctuary, isn’t satisfied with this so he plots to release the dragons of Wyrmroost into the world. Agad has appointed Seth and Kendra, caretakers of Wyrmroost in hopes that it will strengthen the magical barriers of Blackwell Keep inside Wyrmroost despite Celebrant testing its defences. But as that plan of action fails, Seth and Kendra take matters into their own hands and go on a quest in their own sanctuary to ensure that Wyrmroost stands. The thrilling plot and great dialogue will keep you flipping the pages very late into the morning.
