Same guy who drew parts of shattered empire drew this one. The art in this book is absolutely mind-blowing. If you haven't read Star Wars shattered empire, check them both out.

A miniseries set some years before Attack Of The Clones, this follows the two title characters as they unravel the secrets of a remote, desolate world with conflict among its people. Anakin's doubts about becoming a Jedi are explored as the story goes along. The creative team handle the tale well throughout.

Marvel has not had a misstep with their titles. Even the ones that I thought would be uninteresting, like this one, are readable and loyal to the concept of the movies.

Nice art, if a bit murky in places, and an earnest examination of the Master-Padawan relationship between Good ole Ani and Obi before everything went to Mustafar...

I'll agree with some other reviews here in that the planet wracked by the conflict between the Open and the Closed didn't feel too Star Wars-y, more like a pastiche of Mad Max and Gulliver's Travels!

I'll probably give the next volume a try, though, if I can find it.

Obi Wan and Anakin was enjoyable for me. I'm always a fan of backstories and past adventures. Interesting to see Anakin in his early padawan days. Worth a read for the Star Wars fan.

I would of liked to have seen more established Star Wars lore instead of a new planet/aliens. Overall it wasn't bad.

The Artwork's good enough and a decent story. It's just that I've read better (see Star Wars: Legacy by Ostrander and Duursema). I liked the use of flashbacks and that Palpatine actively worked with Anakin. Overall, it's good. It's just not great.
