It is 1935. Three years have passed, and as the seasons turn, so too do the machinations of a rising revolution. As a new summer falls upon the foothills of India's Little England, Simla, political tensions reach fever point. With help from the scheming Cynthia, Ralph faces the most pivotal year of his career. Alice's husband has followed her to India, and Aafrin's ascending career may be in jeopardy.

A very well made and well written and very well cast series. Above the average North American series. On a par with Empire, although different genre totally. It reveals the white British privilege in India during the mid 1930's before The British Empire rule ended there & India got its independence shortly after.. It does depict some stereo types of the day, both British & Indian. It might make you angry, the entitlement, etc. But it does portray a part of history that should NOT be forgotten. I hope they make more of this series. Indian Summers was made on location in India by British sources.

Wow...the last 4 episodes were surprising in their intensity. If you liked the first season, you'll love the second season.

Excellent series - perhaps a bit too much soap opera and a too little history - but I am very interested in this era in Indian history. It is not "Jewel in the Crowyn" - the best of the genre ever, but 4 paws up from Abby Tabby and Kristi

Loved the start of this season - full of plot twists'n turns. Could use more realistic point of view of India's people during last decade under British rule - perhaps that will come. Sadly, 2nd disc very badly damaged... please library patrons, take better care of what you're borrowing!

Brilliant. We enjoyed it far more than the first series. The storyine is more political and the characters are now becoming more complex and best of all Julie Walters has stopped gurning her way through every scene!
