The best Captain America movie and the most realistic Marvel movie. I was at fist skeptical of the villain (one of my favorite things in the marvel movies) but was then impressed to see that is was one of the better villains. Great movie and Great story. I would definitely recommend this to Marvel fans. (It is a lot better if you see the first one first).

Real old-school film with stunts instead of computer special effects.
Nice nod to Agent Carter TV show.
Kind of wondered 1960 to 70ish mainframe computer in hidden bunker was actual or made from scratch.
A bit long ,but the story was so engrossing & complex.

Quite possibly Marvel Entertainment's greatest film to date, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" combines the action of a superhero movie and the heart/drama of an Oscar film. It truly is a masterpiece.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe never seems to disappoint its audience with their movies. This is just another example of their great works on the big screen. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is part of phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie finds Steve Rogers (Captain America) in Washington DC trying to adapt to the modern world just after going through the catastrophic events in New York with the Avengers. After S.H.I.E.L.D is compromised by Hydra, Captain America along with Black Widow and a new friend named Sam Wilson (Falcon) try to take Hydra down but they find themselves up against a familiar foe in the Winter Soldier. Chris Evans and the rest of the cast play their parts very well and there are many thrilling scenes that will greatly satisfy the audience.

This is hands down the best MCU film to date. The story is gripping, the villain is mysterious and awesome, and it's mostly a spy movie in stead of your run of the mill "bad guy show up, good guy beat bad guy" movie.

I really enjoyed the original, so I was a bit nervous about this one as a follow-up. Overall, a decent story, but definitely not as good as the hype makes it out to be. Still a fun Marvel movie, though.

The Winter Soldier came out in theatres in 2014 and it did not disappoint its audiences. It is an entertaining, action packed film and I absolutely enjoyed it. The story is about Captain America trying to uncover a conspiracy about an unknown 'Winter Soldier' and Hydra. The story is well written and full of twists and turns. Captain America's character is developed very well and his friendship with Black Widow is apparent in the film. The actors portray their characters well onscreen and the overall moral message throughout the film is about friendship, trust and honesty. There is lots of action throughout the movie and there is never a dull moment. However, several action sequences may frighten young children such as a scene where one character is brainwashed (his screams are heard). I recommend this movie for audiences 12 and up. The action is balanced well with drama and the story is delivered very well. I give it a 9 out of 10.

This is the follow up to Captain America: The First Avenger. It takes place in modern times as introduced at the end of the first film and focuses on Steve’s integration into modern society as well as the series’ most touched upon villain, the Winter Soldier. This movie, being set in modern times, touches on the issues of modern security and what you have to give up in the name of safety. Not only is it a superhero movie, it is a commentary on how the age of technology is a very dangerous world and how not everything is as it seems. In this movie the audience meets HYDRA’s most dangerous weapon, The Winter Soldier. He is the antagonist and causes Steve to question his choices as well as possibly compromise his morals. This movie is excellent and by far one of the best movies Marvel has ever released as well as one of the best superhero movies in general. 5/5 Stars.

This movie is a big–name blockbuster and I really enjoyed it. Captain has tried his best to adapt to the modern life and he almost succeeds and becomes one of the mainstay of s.h.i.e.l.d. He also meets a veteran called Falcon and they become close friends. However, HYDRA, which is an anti–social organization, installs its guys in s.h.i.e.l.d undercover. Then those undercovers are ordered to shut s.h.i.e.l.d down and they manage to take control of s.h.i.e.l.d. They armed three aircraft carriers and tried to bomb the whole New York. Winter Soldier, who was Captain's best friend when they were young, was mind controlled by HYDRA and they are both combat masters and super–strong, so they had a big fight. At last, it seems winter soldier kind of remembers captain and captain saves New Yorkers from death.

I could do this all day

Natasha Romanoff: The truth is a matter of circumstances, it's not all things to all people all the time. And neither am I.
Steve Rogers: That's a tough way to live.
Natasha Romanoff: It's a good way not to die, though.
Steve Rogers: You know, it's kind of hard to trust someone when you don't know who that someone really is.
Natasha Romanoff: Yeah. Who do you want me to be?
Steve Rogers: How about a friend?
Natasha Romanoff: [chuckles] Well, there's a chance you might be in the wrong business, Rogers.
