Have to agree completely with Keogh of Ottawa, this is the type of film one hopes to see when going to the theater or buying a DVD - - most excellent in acting and story and script. [I am most fortunate to have recently viewed this, the incredible sci-fi movie, The Arrival, and The Accountant. [As movies are just too darn expensive and without real butter for the popcorn!]

I agree with everything voisjoe1 stated below -- I found myself saying, "...*These* are the best parts that are offered to Spacek and Kristofferson...?!". Beyond that, this gem was a poorly directed mess.

I admire the indies that employ imagination and heart...they often produce entertaining films that cost a fraction of an "Iron Man" or "Avatar".

I enjoyed Deadfall more than Avatar. The characters are believable and uber interesting, and the story is tense and engaging.

IMO, this work is far better than most others in this genre. Seat belts fastened....Mr. Toads wild ride awaits!

Rated 1/10.

This was largely a paint-by-numbers approach to death by accident, stabbing, shooting, punching with a little respite at Thanksgiving dinner. It was sad to see great actors like Sissy Spacek and Treat Williams playing in a waste of time like this. See my review of another film with the same title starring Michael Caine. Seems to be a rule - avoid movies with this title.

great movie but i didn't like the ending. they left to much unanswered. I wonder why they keep ending movies like that??

An alternate title could be "Deadbeat Dads" since almost every character has an issue with his dad. The film is a suspenseful dramatic ride, nevertheless.
