In my opinion, this book is good and bad. I especially hate how Stewart was really nice to Sophie and not hanging out with Emma instead. If I was Emma, I would have probably just ignored them both forever. But the good part is that in the end, Emma, Jess, Megan, Cassidy, and Becca all got along with Sophie, once they apologized about being mean to her. I also dislike Sophie, because she practically stole Emma's boyfriend, Stewart, and having Megan's family ignore Megan because Sophie's parents are divorced. Sophie attracted a lot of people, causing the book club friends to feel left out. Like I said, this book is both good and bad. I really liked the ending, where Gigi and Sophie's grandfather got married. Gigi got this great present, where there were photos of the book club friends from 6th grade all the way to high school. I really would recommend this book to middle schoolers.

I need to firstly applaud the author for succeeding at pun titles, considering the book being read is Jane Eyre, and the story ends up revolving amongst the girls in different vacation spots. Although told in the POV of five girls, which wasn’t done well, the story seemed to focus a lot on Megan and Becca who are both close friends. Megan has it all well; a new kitten, a trip to Paris with her glamorous grandmother Gigi, and a chance to write a fashion blog, but everything seems crushed when her mother brings in a French girl who is adored by all and has stolen all the limelight off Megan. Becca meanwhile is trying to tame the jealousy that creeps upon her when she sees Megan’s lavish vacation when she is simply going to a nearby state where her book-loving grandmother resides. But both will find that ends meet, but sometimes right at the end of the noose and will discover that each individual has to carve their own path to happiness. Jess and Emma are both concerned about their brother’s behavior whilst Cassidy wonders which position on the ice rink would suit the hockey player she is; and the girl she is on the inside. I found it incredibly hard to relate to these high school girls because some had perfect lives completely unflawed and their travails were just annoying. I overall hated most of the characters and the storyline and I don’t think it was worth it whatsoever to read! Perhaps the younger audiences would like it but I certainly didn’t! Rating 2/5

I was really not in the mood for this when I started this, and I blame that mainly on t he fact that it has been a while since I read the other books in this series. But I jumped in anyways, and it was so easy to get back into the town of Concord, living the life of five crazy girls. This is a series for children, but I truly love these characters. This is likely due to the six books that I have spent with them. I know that this is a series that I will definitley be rereading in the future.

This is such a excellent read, the mother-daughter book club series is very heartwarming and relate able. It is exciting to learn about the girls' lives and how they over come problems and find solutions. I love how you also get to learn about classic books and lives of the authors. Any teen would definitely love this series.

In this book, the mother-daughter- book club has their own problems, Megan, first of all gets a wonderful suprise from her parents and Gigi, a kitten! But then Sophie Fairfax, yes, Fairfax, A.K.A. Stinkerbelles cousin! It turns out the Wongs are taking care of Sophie for awhile, Mrs.Wong is not happy with this decision, but later on, turns out Sophie is vegatarian! Just like Megans mom. Now for Megan it feels like Sophie is stealing her whole family, including her new kitten!!! This goes for Emma, her boyfriend, Stewart Chadwick, is being one of Sophie's fan club (which of course is ALL boys) except Darcy, and a couple of boys. Read this book if your intrested!
