Wonder is a great story, and I am now beginning 5th grade, so I am sort of going the same way as August, so I know what to expect. I like books like this because they change perspectives, and thanks to this I am now writing a book with the differents perspectives of the characters. I give this book 5 stars. (Ines)

Easy to read. Great book for young adults. Nice message, but not believable to me in the real world

I'm not sure I have the words to convey how wonderful this book is. Auggie Pullman, a soon to be 5th grader, finds out he will be going to a regular school for the first time after having been home schooled all of his life. This should not be too big of a deal, but Auggie has a sever facial deformity and sending him to school feels like, in the words of his father, "sending a sheep to the wolves". Everyone knows that Auggie will struggle with finding acceptance from his classmates-but they also know he has to learn how to live in a world that will always see him as different. The book chronicles Auggie's fifth grade year, in his voice as well as in the voices of his sister, classmates, and family friends. As the reader sees his extraordinary story unfold. there are acts of cruelty, tremendous acts of compassion and remarkable classmates and teachers that expand Auggie's world tremendously. The book demonstrates the power of kindness in such a powerful way that I could not stop thinking about it for days afterword. Everyone needs to read this book. And then everyone needs to practice the kind of kindness that makes a difference in the life of Auggie Pullman.

It takes great courage and determination to choose kindness above all else, but when we do, we can discover that there is a unique 'wonder' inside of everyone just wanting to come out.

Wonder is such an inspirational book! The characters all have different personalities and characteristics, and August is such a unique character. He went through a lot when he was little his face was affected by this disease called dibulo facial dysostosis which made his face all weird. But no matter how bad your face is messed up it doesn't change who you are as a human being.

Both of my boys(10 & 13 y.o.) read the book, they really enjoyed it! Also read the other one, Auggie and me. Wonderful, inspirational books!

Wonder is a book about kindness. It not only tells of Auggie's struggles entering 5th grade but those of his sister, Via & her best friend as they both try to "fit in" at high school. Auggie's friend Jack struggles with making decisions about friendship or going along with the crowd. "When given the choice between being right or being kind choose kind," is my favorite quote from this book.

It's a pretty amazing book for all ages! It brings the important discussion about bullying and how we can deal with the differences. Also, it's very helpful to learn English because has many dialogues and vocabularies. For ESL learners It's always a good deal! Inspirational book!

And still Auggie was able to face the world -- not always an easy thing for him, but he carries it out with intelligence and humor.

The movie is due out in November.

It is about a 5th grader named August "Auggie" who has a facial difference and has been home-schooled for most of his young life. He gets enrolled at a middle school for 5th grade and wants nothing more than to feel normal. Instead Auggie gets bullied for his appearance from his peers and along the way you hear from not only Auggie, but from others who are around him begin to wonder what it means to have empathy and compassion. What it means to be a friend, how to accept your friend, but mostly how to be just "act a little kinder than necessary - the world would be a better place".

Et en allant a sa 6e annee (college), il va maintenant a la vraie ecole comme tout le monde. Une histoire emouvante d'un jeune garcon de 10 ans. Desolee pour les fautes...
