I began watching this in French, but since there is a lot of dialogue in English, I switched to English with English subtitles. I thought I'd missed some of the humor, but it isn't really a romantic comedy, it's more a relationship study. - I gave it Three Stars because of the acting by Naomi Watts and Glenn Close. Otherwise, I'd say it's a Merchant/Ivory 'B' movie!
