Very nice rendition of the old tale about the little engine that could that I knew as a child. Artwork very creative and interesting, and the rhythmic verse very well done. It is a nice book to read at bedtime leaving readers with a very positive feeling about trying really really hard and succeeding (after many did not even try to help).

A heart warming story of a little blue engine who “thinks [she] can” try to bring the toys to the little boys and girls on the other side of the mountain.

This is our 3 year old's favourite book, which can easily be read 5 times back to back.

Classic story. Great illustrations! You can almost hear the different voices of the various trains.

A great classic that even my one year old likes....however it is a bit long to read the whole story. It is better suited for 3 years and up. Great illstrations

Loren Long's illustrations are dark & grotesque & add nothing to Watty Piper's classic story.
