i think if you are a fan of eastwood, little he does could turn you off him; i however, am not a fan, and, so when i saw this one in a theatre, i walked out quite disappointed with the effort by clint. according to one of the reviewers in this catalog, ' you like what you like; you dislike what you dislike---it's that simple. no need to expand on your opinions, or write them down.' but then, if that were to become true, then we could not form opinions as to the value of objects we observe, just know whether we react favorably to them, or not. such is the consumer-stimulus-response machine, as a personality. Shame, for shame. As John Keats once said, 'Truth is Beauty, Beauty is Truth. That is all you need to know.' Who is John Keats? You don't need to know that, only whether you like him, or not. But how, then, would you ever encounter Mr. John Keats, how would you ever hear of him? By luck, random luck? How would you even know that such a thing as Poetry, existed? If Google doesn't tell you, how will you ever know? Must need we have such an awesome faith, in Google, and the like? / BLOOD WORK revolves around the relationship between two men, played by Eastwood and Jeff Daniels. I suggest you don't see this one without seeing SOMETHING WILD, first. ( Maybe, i'll tell you why i suggest that, that is, if kcls ever acquires this excellent movie, from the 80s)/ Something about the turning of the tables, together with my viewer- identifications with the characters, left me feeling pretty bummed, as i left the movie theatre.

Good movie but I watched it immediately after reading the book & their were many changes from the book. Still both were excellent stories .

Very interesting plot, possibly based on a true incIdent from the files of the LA county. I wish there were more movies made from Michael Connelly's books.

Blood Work ---- DVD-2010 ----Based on the novel by Michael Connelly ---- Originally produced as a motion picture in 2002. ---- Clint Eastwood, Jeff Daniels, Wanda De Jesús, Tina Lifford, Paul Rodriguez, Dylan Walsh, Anjelica Huston. ---- This is an excellent movie and a great cast. To me the show was very close to the Novel. ---- Enjoy! ---- RichardPaul

Clint is good, Clint's just about always good, but the antagonist, Jeff Daniels is brutal. The story itself is good, the detective work is fun to follow but as the climax becomes inchoate, it falls short.
