This is an important book for anyone interested in the emerging Church or the post-Christendom Church to read. What are the "principalities and powers" in Paul's letters we are confronted with, and especially in this volume, how are we to overcome them? This inspiring vision for the Church in the World and of the Spirit will appeal to anyone who enjoys Borg and Crossan's work, although the writer's style is different; and even though I read this volume before the others, the recap at the beginning left me ready to take in the rest of the book.
